Garage Light | Project 12 Portraits

My post for this month’s blog circle is a bit short on images – it has been a crazy month! Getting a house ready to show and sell is not easy with these two guys on the loose, that’s for sure. Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa have been helping out! This week’s challenge was to utilize garage light. These photos were taken in their Grandpa’s garage, that’s where we found this cool piece of wood to use for a makeshift backdrop. I was inspired by my friend Allison Jacob’s tutorial on using garage light. These were side lit and taken with my 5D Classic and 40mm pancake lens (my go-to travel combination!).
Visit the blog of Williamsonville, New York photographer Melissa Deakin to see how she utilized garage light in her portraits – she does gorgeous work!
