I purchased the Canon 100/2.8L macro lens last winter, and I am just now dedicating myself to learning it’s full macro capabiities! It is a beautiful portrait lens, and I am excited to learn how to use it to it’s full potential on macro subjects. I decided to give myself an extra push and do a macro post at least once a month. We had two gorgeous garden spiders in our front yard this month that were perfect subjects! My boys were just fascinated with them, and it was perfect timing with Halloween right around the corner. We identified them as a Banded Garden Spider and a Black and Yellow Striped Garden Spider. Aren’t they beautiful?
