I am so happy to be continuing on with my Project 12 Portraits blog circle group. I am really looking forward to the themes we have planned for this year. This month’s theme was Reflection, and we could interpret it however we would like. I had big aspirations for this one, but as usual life got in the way and we were just too busy to put some of those plans into motion! I am kind of glad we did, because my little guy was really excited about this challenge and he got a kick out of seeing two of himself and giving himself some love! Visit the blog of my friend Allison Jacobs, Orange County photographer, to see how she saw this challenge – I can guarantee it will be beautiful!

[…] This month’s Project 12 blog circle theme was soulful. Soulful….hmmm….to me that can mean so many things. When I was thinking of what to shoot for this challenge, I kept picturing a somber face with large, expressive eyes. With my kiddos, that just wasn’t going to happen! Truthfully, I don’t think it would be “them” too often. When I think of soul and kids, I think of playing. That is what should be most joyous and what they are meant to do at 6 and 8 years old. So, I set out with my boys to play. We played at the park during baseball practice, and I managed to get some images I liked of my little man. The big man is suffering of a long term case of PCS (Photographer’s Child Syndrome), especially when his friends are present (not my best laid plan!). I hope to get started early next month and feature my big guy for a change. Visit the blog of Krista Keller |Danville, Ca Child,Senior, and Family Photographer to see her soulful images, her work is stunning! Follow through the circle, this month is going to be amazing!
