Thinking of a topic for this month’s grateful project was so easy for me! I am grateful for photography and my camera. I had just gone through ALL of our family photos from the last 5 years or so, cleaning up our hard drive and backing everything up in yet another place. As I looked back over the 1,000s of photos I realized I just would not have these if I hadn’t started pursuing photography. Of course I have all the snapshots from milestones, birthdays, and trips – but most of my favorite photos of my boys were taken because I was trying to become a better photographer. Assignments, blog circle projects, and meet ups with other photograpers – suprisingly this is when I took most of the photos of my boys that I love – that represent those little moments that I want to remember. These are all so great! Love seeing the changes through the years (and love seeing some from our meetups too!). We are so blessed to be photographers and have so many wonderful memories saved through our photos. <3
You are so right – photography is a life long journey and all of those blog circles and assignments really forced us to create beautiful images. I loved looking through these – several just made me laugh out loud (the orange smile) and some just made me feel love ( the very first and the one with grandpa). How lucky you are to have all of these tender memories and that photography found us some how. Loved looking at all of these!
