This month’s Project 12 blog circle topic is Through the Doorway. The open front door has been a go-to spot for portraits of my boys, since it has nice soft light. I decided to do something a little different this time. My oldest son has just started riding with friends to school and back a few days a week. It is such a reminder of how big he is getting, to let him walk out the door without me. He absolutely loves it, he has been wanting to be more independent so badly. I must admit, I am glad my little one still wants me to watch him go into his classroom everyday!

Love the drama of your image Kim, perfect for black & white! Isn’t it crazy how fast they seem to grow up?
Lovely image–perfectly captures the essence of growing up!
