Well, it’s certainly been a long time coming! I started this blog in June while taking the Photoblog 101 workshop. I knew I wanted to start my photography business in the fall, so I thought I would have plenty of time to get my act together. Then I learned what summer with two extremely energetic boys would be like! We played all day everyday, and even though they should have been dead tired, they stayed up late. Very late. Hence, my work time, also known as night time became just a tiny bit compromised.
Now the school year has started and we are back in our routine. With one in Kindergarten and the other in preschool, I finally have time to focus on my business. Even though I wasn’t blogging much this summer, I was still taking a lot of photos. I thought I would put some of my favorites into my first blog post on the new blog. This may very well be my longest blog post ever! I promise it won’t happen again!
I had the honor to photograph some beautiful bellies and the adorable babies that soon followed this summer.
This is the awesome B family and their boys. We had a blast finger painting and putting little handprints on mommy’s tummy. Their beautiful baby boy Aidan arrived shortly after. He is just the sweetest little guy.
This is the S family, which I have actually photographed quite a few times this year. They are definitely my most photographed family so far, which is great because they are so much fun to work with. It has been fun watching Katelynn grow over the past year, too.
They welcomed another baby girl and Katelynn is already a caring big sister. Here is my favorite of baby Jocelynn. How sweet is that face?
I had a fun beach session with the M family. The weather had been a bit unpredictable this summer, and it was surprisingly cold at the beach that night. The kids were troopers, we stayed active and they did great. Their new sibling was a surprise, they didn’t know if they were having a brother or sister!
…and they now have a beautiful baby sister, Kayla!
Thanks so much to all these wonderful families who allowed me to capture such important moments for them! More to come this week!
