Spring Minisessions | Orange County Children’s Photographer

This year was my first time doing minisessions in the springtime, and it has been wonderful! The kids were great and the location beautiful. I am sad that I only have one more day of minis left to shoot! This will definitely become a yearly tradition. Here is a sampling of the first day.

Project 12 Portraits | Framing

This month’s topic for our blog circle was “Framing”, which I was excited about because 1) I love finding new ways to use framing when composing a photo, and 2) I knew my kids would have fun with it! We set off for downtown San Juan Capistrano, where I knew we would find a wide variety of settings to work with. The boys took this one pretty seriously, I was a bit worried they would get stuck wiggling into something! Here are some images showing what we came up with. Check out the blog of Danville Family and Child Photographer, Krista Keller to see how she used framing in her compostions.

Spring | Orange County Photographer

I promised a while ago that I would add some more of my macro photos to the blog, and I have been slacking off! I have been taking them, though, and loving it. I visited my parents while they were housesitting in Rancho Santa Fe and the homeowner had an amazing garden. The boys had fun harvesting some veggies (and eating- it is much more fun to eat when you pick it yourself!). My husband has some hidden food styling skills and arranged the basket so I could take a photo. As I was photographing it the cutest caterpillar came out, a macro photographer’s dream! I’m pretty sure most of the photos I took are of his back end heading away from me, but he was gorgeous nonetheless:). Thanks for looking!

A Park Day | Everyday Moments 4 | Laguna Niguel Children’s Photographer

I chose to shoot some park time for my Everyday Moments blog circle this week. There was a time when we lived at the park! Now, with school, sports, and other afterschool activities, we don’t get there quite as often. We are trying to fit it in more on weekends, because the boys still love it! Please visit Cassandra’s blog at Images by Cassandra to see her beautiful everyday!
