Everyday Moments 3 | Orange County Family Photographer

My goal for posting in my Everyday Moments blog circle is to capture the daily (and often routine) things I do with my kids. I really wanted to include our frozen yogurt trips. When just the three of us- or sometimes just myself and one of the boys, to get some one on one time- go out for treats we have the best conversations. It is nice to have completely uninterrupted time to talk about everything and anything!
Please check out the beautiful work of Winnipeg photographer Jaime Profecta to see how she sees her everyday.

I’m very happy to be back from our holiday break! We had a great Christmas, but most of us were sick for the second half of break. It feels good to be back into our normal routine. This is one of my favorite sessions from the fall! I love photographing brothers and sisters together, and these sisters were very sweet! I loved watching their dynamic when they played together.

Darling images and I love the slash of color.

Everyday Moments 2 | Orange County Children’s Photographer

When I sat down to think about what I wanted to shoot for my Everyday Moments blog circle, TaeKwonDo was the first thing that came to mind. Both boys started taking TKD in September, and it’s really become a big part of their lives (and mine, as some weeks I feel like the dojang is my second home!). It is so fun to watch them, they have become so focused. It is a side to them I don’t see too often at home! My favorites are the second photo of my older son, he had just kicked down the bag for the first time and was so proud. I love that you can see it in his expression. I also love the one of my younger son punching – he looks so fierce! I could not have captured these photos without my amazing Canon 5D Mark III, I fall more in love with this camera everyday. Most of these images were shot at ISO 5000! That just would not have been possible with my old 5D.

The P Family | Irvine Regional Park Family Photographer

I met up with this sweet family for a minisession. We explored some new areas of Irvine Regional and I have a new love of this location. There is so much variety! I really liked this wooded area and the colors it provided! It is so much fun to photograph siblings together, and they were so cute together. The girls took very good care of their little brother!

I recently became a part of blog circle with a wonderful group of women from my photography forum, Clickin Moms. Our goal is to capture our everyday. My goal for these assignments is to take images that will bring back all of the emotions of each moment. This image is of my youngest son and his “wobie”, the blanket he has taken with him everywhere since he was about 10 months old. He has been losing it in his bed in the middle of the night lately. When I went in to check on him the other night I found he had solved that problem by using it for a pillow. Although it is not perfect, I love this image.

Please continue the circle and see how my friend Barb Huff sees her family!

Ahhhh! Love a sleepy baby! My daughter has a “blankie” like wobie, too – their first love. He’ll enjoy this picture long after he’s “too big” for woby.
