I loved everything about this session!The boys were full of smiles and energy. The brothers were very sweet together and you can tell they sure love their mom. We made sure to get some photos of just mom at the end of the session….moms so rarely get in front of the camera so this is a must :grin:.
It’s that time of year again, summer has come to a close and we are back to school. My big guy is starting first grade and my little guy is starting PreK. It is a big jump for both with a longer day and week, respectively! They did great their first week and we are lucky to have gotten amazing teachers. I took them out for some photos, as this is becoming our annual tradition. It is so fun to compare them to the previous year! My little guy is much more agreeable to photos, so there are always more of him!

This session was special for a few reasons! First, this sweet family was here on vacation together from out of state. Also, this was a sunrise session. I almost exclusively shoot at the beach during the “golden hour” around sunset. After this session I definitely want to shoot more often in the morning. The light had more of a buttery yellow quality that was just gorgeous. The only downside is waking up very, very early in the morning! This family were troopers to get up so early during their relaxing vacation!

This gorgeous mom was 34 weeks along when we met up to take some belly and family photos. She has such a perfect baby bump! Big sister is adorable, too. They are waiting to find out if they are having a boy or girl, so the suspense is on!

I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer! We have been so busy. At the start of summer I always think to myself “what are we going to do all day, everyday?”, but our days end up packed! We’ve been spending lots of time at the beach and pool. After seeing many inspiring photos on Clickin Moms and I Heart Faces, I finally took the plunge (no pun intended!) and bought an underwater camera. It is a Panasonic Lumix, and so far I love it! It does a great job. The best part is that my boys are loving having their picture taken. They love the water so I feel like I am really capturing an important part of their childhood.
